Unblocking Our Faith with Focus

I believe the main block to faith is doubt. We unblock our faith by focus.

According to Webster’s Dictionary doubt is uncertainty of belief or opinion that often interferes with decision-making (or action). Some may claim their doubt is healthy skepticism. Whether doubt or healthy skepticism, it still interferes with taking action!

Circumstances and criticisms cause doubt. What do I mean by that? According to the Bible, Peter a mere man, walked on water (an act of faith). When he started looking at the waves (circumstances) he began to have doubt and sink. Suppose we loved to give roses to people, but an influential person said they were weeds (criticism)? Would we start to have doubt, would we still be able to share roses with others?

We have circumstances and criticisms bombarding us and our business daily. To overcome doubt we focus on achieving our "why" and on our mission of helping people reach their goals. We become so focused that many around us begin to recognize (or criticize) us for our focus, or faith. We overcome by staying focused on the good and true and rejecting distracting circumstances and criticisms.

May our Creator and Savior grant us laser-like focus.
